Clocolan was founded in 1906 at the foot of the 1 820m high Hlohlowane Mountain. Clocolan derived its name from the Sotho word 'Hlohloloane' meaning 'push and fight'. This gracious, sunny town offers spectacular views of the Maluti Mountains and is graced with awesome contrasting scenery all year round.
